FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
- Arkansas State is looking to defend indoor titles on both the men's and women's side after sweeping last season's conference meet. If the Red Wolves are successful, it will mark the first repeat indoor sweep since Middle Tennessee swept four straight from 2001 to 2004. Western Kentucky is the last team to sweep consecutive titles, doing so outdoors from 2008 to 2011.
- The Red Wolves return 37 scorers from last season's sweep – 19 on the women's side and 18 on the men's side.
- Camryn Newton-Smith enters the conference meet ranked sixth nationally in the pentathlon with 4,068 points, which is best in the conference. She also leads the league in the 60m hurdles and long jump and tied for fifth in the high jump.
- On the women's side, A-State owns 26 marks that rank inside the top five in the Sun Belt so far this season, 10 No. 1 marks. The men hold 23 top-five spots, including five No. 1 marks.
- Arkansas State swept the most recent Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week on February 18, as Seth Waters (M Track), Carter Shell (M Field), Pauline Meyer (W Track) and Grace Flowers (W Field) earned honors.
