JONESBORO, Ark. (2/18/22) – Rolling 5,049 pins over five Baker matches, the Arkansas State bowling team is seventh after the first day of the Mid-Winter Invitational presented by Kalmer Solutions at Hijinx Family Entertainment Center.
A-State (48-21) went 3-2 head-to-head Friday picking up wins over Alabama State (1,101-999), Lincoln Memorial (943-918) and Stephen F. Austin while falling short of Louisiana Tech (1,058-1.045) and Nebraska (1,056-928). Nebraska holds the total pinfall lead at 5,475 pins, an average of 219.0. Wisconsin-Whitewater is second at 5,409 (216.4) with Sacred Heart third with 5,230 pins (209.2).
The Red Wolves open traditional play Saturday against Linconln Memorial on lanes 21-22. Other matches include Drury (Lanes 3-4), Alabama A&M (Lanes 5-6), Lewis (Lanes 17-18) and Sacred Heart (Lanes 9-10). A-State head coach
