SMYRNA, Tenn. (3/18/22) – Beginning play in its final regular season event of the season, the Arkansas State women's bowling team is fourth among 33 teams at the Columbia 300 Music City Classic at the Smyrna Bowling Center.
A-State (63-31) posted a 3-2 record over five Baker matches Friday with a total pinfall of 5,110 pins (204.4). McKendree leads the standings with 5,300 (212.0) pinfall with Stephen F. Austin (5,171) and Vanderbilt (5,129) just ahead of A-State for second and third, respectively.
The Red Wolves, ranked sixth in the latest NTCA poll, were downed by No. 3 Sam Houston 1,051-961 to open the competition. A-State then reeled off consecutive victories over Carthage (1,016-1,004), Emmanuel (1,032-956) and Monmouth (1,098-945). Long Island University posted an impressive pinfall of 1,220 to close out the day with a defeat of the Red Wolves (1,003).
