HARAHAN, La. (11/22/25) – Arkansas State women's bowling is third among 16 teams entering bracket play of the Colonial Lanes Classic.
 
A-State (33-16) improved to 9-1 at the tournament with a 4-1 record in traditional matches Saturday. The Red Wolves opened with a 1,081-957 win over No. 7 North Carolina A&T but came up short against No. 18 UAB 998-956 in its second match. A-State closed the day with three straight wins topping No. 5 Wichita State (1,032-975), No. 12 Duquesne (941-928) and Jackson State (1,043-976).
 
Maggie Thoma led the Red Wolves ranking 11th individually with total pinfall of 1,065 for an average of 213. Amanda Lang totaled 1,028 pins to rank 18th while Karli VanDuinen downed 1,007 for 24th. Malaya Chavez average 192.3 over four games for 65th while Kaylee Back averaged 191.0 over four games for 68th. Katie Ruszczak (222) and Alex-Anne Auclair (198) rolled in the last match.
 
A-State enters bracket play ranked third with a total pinfall of 10,237. Vanderbilt leads the field with 10,513 followed by Nebraska with 10,272. Wichita State (10,173), Louisiana Tech (10,149), North Carolina A&T (10,066), Sam Houston (10,055), Tulane (10,013), Duquesne (9,768) and Youngstown State (9,688) complete the top 10.
