LOCKPORT, Ill. (2/6/26) – The third-ranked Arkansas State women's bowling team posted a 4-1 head-to-head record in Baker matches and stands ninth among 26 teams at the Flyer Invitational.
 
A-State (50-20) totaled 4,801 pins for an average of 192.0 across five Baker matches Friday. Jacksonville State paced the field with 5,387 (215.5) with Sam Houston (5,281), Newman (5,039), Vanderbilt (4,947), Youngstown State (4,944), Oklahoma Christian (4,854), Sacred Heart (4,845) and Maryville (4,845) rounding out the eight teams ahead of the Red Wolves.
 
Opening the event against Emmanuel, A-State took a 916-856 victory. The Red Wolves followed with a 963-946 advantage over the host Lewis and moved to 3-0 with a 950-903 margin against No. 10 Maryville. A-State topped 1,000 pins in a 1,020-864 decision over No. 17 Tulane and closed the day with a 1,134-952 setback against No. 1 Jacksonville State.
 
A-State is set to face No. 13 North Carolina A&T, Indianapolis, Marian, No. 19 McKendree and Carroll in five traditional matches Saturday.
