JONESBORO, Ark. (4/9/26) – Arkansas State women's golf head coach MJ Desbiens Shaw announced Wednesday that Michelle Barrios has signed to join the program for the 2026-27 season.

"We are thrilled to welcome Michelle to our Red Wolves family this fall," said Shaw. "She will be bringing a ton of International golf experience to our roster and will be a great asset to our program moving forward. I am excited to have someone of her caliber who can make an immediate impact on our team.  She is a proven winner and a hard worker, and we look forward to the leadership and competitive edge she will bring to our lineup".

Barrios is a two-time National Junior Champion of Venezuela winning the honors in 2025 and 2026. The Caracas, Venezuela native finished fourth as an individual in the South American Junior played in Chile. She also earned wins in amateur tournament in Izcaragua, Venezuela in 2025 and the X Lagunita Open in Venezuela in 2024.

Barrios joins Yinyoe Yang (Conway, Ark.) as signees for the 2026-27 season.
