Derek Rosinski

Biography

Derek Rosinski is in his first year on the staff at Arkansas State as the Strength and Conditioning intern. 

He joins the staff after spending the last two years at Mercer University as a Graduate Assistant in the Strength and Conditioning department there.  During his time in Macon, Derek oversaw the strength and conditioning programs for the Men’s Lacrosse and Soccer teams, Women’s Volleyball, and both the Men’s and Women’s Tennis and Golf programs.  Rosinski also assisted with the training of the Mercer Football team and was an integral part of the rebirth of that program in the fall of 2012.  While he was at Mercer, Derek also received his Master’s degree in Higher Education Leadership.

Prior to his time at Mercer, Derek spent the 2010-2011 year at Wofford College assisting with the Strength and Conditioning program with the football team and directing the training for the Men’s Golf team as well as for the Sprinter’s and Multi-Event competitors for the track team.

Rosinski, certified as both as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and as a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach by United States Weightlifting (USAW), also completed an internship at Arizona State in 2010.

Before joining the Strength and Conditioning field as a coach, Derek played four years of college football as an offensive lineman at Monmouth University, lettering all four years and appearing in over 30 games during his career with several starts to his credit.  The Buffalo, New York native graduated from Monmouth with a degree in Health Studies and a Minor in Information Technologies.
