High School: Helmbold was a member of the Wynberg Boys High School first golf team beginning in the 2004 season...Won the Westlake Golf Club Prentice Trophy for player of the year in 2008, 2009 and 2010...Won the Westlake Junior Club Championships in both 2008, 2009 and 2010 and finished 3rd in the Senior Club Championships in 2010...Was selected as the Most Valuable Player in 2009...Was ranked 2nd in the Western Province Order of Merit and the Top 10 players in South Africa under 18.
