2012-2013: As a junior, Howton played in 30 rounds at 10 tournaments...Shot a low score of 69 and finished T28 at the Cobra-PUMA Invitational, plus another T28th place finish at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate...He held an average score of 77.
2011 - 2012: Played in eight rounds and attended three tournamens (Sam Hall Intercollegiate, UTA/Waterchase Invitational, & D.A. Wibring Intercollegiate). As a Junior, Howton capped off he season with an amazing 6th place finish at UTA/Waterchase Invitational Tournament.
2010 - 2011: Appeared in eleven rounds during four tournaments. Shot a low score of 76 at The Grover Page Classic, where he also ranked his highst at 61st...During his sophomore year, he held an average score of 79.
2009-10: Appeared in six rounds during two spring tournaments as a redshirt freshman . . . Shot a low score of 73 at the ASU Red Wolf Classic . . . Of the golfers who competed in less than ten rounds, ranked 15th in the Sun Belt . . . Held an average score of 78.83.
High School: Howton was a three-year letterman in golf at Forrest City . . . Named the Outstanding Mustang Golfer each year . . . Howton carried a 74 average in 2006-2007 and shot a low round of 66 . . . Howton is a four-time Outstanding High School Golfer and was awarded the Rauth Award in 2005 . . . He was the Blazer Invitational co-champ in 2007 and tri-champ in 2006 . . . Howton was named to the Hurricane Classic All-Tournament team in 2005 and 2007 and has qualified for the state championship from 2004-2007.
