Joe Cebulski (pronounced see-BULL-skee) is in his fourth season as an assistant for the track and field program. ASU’s student-athletes are getting a real treat when it comes to learning from Cebulski because of his phenomenal success in multi-events. A six-time NAIA All-American, he owns championships from the 1998 Alabama Relays, 1999 Penn Relays, and 2001 Kansas Relays. In 2002, he earned sixth place in the decathlon at the United States Championships after reaching eighth in 2001. In 2002, he achieved a world ranking of 32. A 1999 graduate of Taylor University in Indiana with a degree in biology secondary education, he has trained with greats Randy Heisler (1988 discus Olympian), Jeff Gorski (USATF chair for javelin development and coach of American javelin record holder Tom Pukkxtys), Nathan Leeper (U.S. men’s high jump champion), Amy Acuff (women’s U.S. champion in the high jump) and Earl Bell in the pole vault. .
