“We had our moments tonight-we were better than that team and that's how we played. We started a little slow, but we got it going a little bit. Daniel Bryant continues to play well,” said ASU head coach John Brady. “We are going to need to play much better than we have to have an opportunity Wednesday and Saturday to win a couple. I like where we are I like our team and I like our players.”

ASU led at the half 51-22, holding MacMurray to 22.9 percent shooting in the half.

ASU senior Donald Boone went down after four minutes of action with an injury. Brady had the following to say about the situation:

“The preliminary on Donald Boone is he has torn his ACL so that puts him out for the year, which is disappointing for me to happen. He is important to us from  leadership, positive attitude and experience standpoints. We are going to have to fill a void we had last year and were going to have this year. I hate it for him and I hate it for our team.”

Arkansas State will play Southeast Missouri State in their first road contest Wednesday. Tipoff at the Show Me Center is set for 7 p.m.
