JONESBORO, Ark. (09/01/10) - The Arkansas State Athletic Department recently re-launched AStateRedWolves.com, unveiling the website with an entirely new look and new features that make it easier than ever to keep up with A-State Red Wolves Athletics.
Arkansas State agreed to a contract extension with NeuLion to power the website, giving the ASU Athletic Department the opportunity to completely redesign the site. Getting input from sources both outside and within the athletic department, ASU was able to capitalize on the relationship that NeuLion has with hundreds of other universities across the nation when gathering information for the redesign of the site.
While one of the main objectives for the website was a cleaner design, Arkansas State was also able to take advantage of the many new technologies offered by NeuLion in building a website that will remain the primary source of information about Arkansas State Red Wolves Athletics.
Some of the new features of the website include enhanced roster pages, a schedule module on the main page that features scrolling schedules for all of ASU's 16 teams, drop-down menus at the top of the home page that makes the website easier to navigate and increased embedded video content.
The website also now includes free audio of all football, men's basketball, women's basketball and baseball games when logged into the StateZone section of AStateRedWolves.com. Video of football, along with men's and women's basketball remains available through paid subscription to the StateZone, and with 10 of the 12 schools in the Sun Belt Conference also partnering with NeuLion, video will be available for the vast majority of games, both home and away.
"We wanted to design a website that would become a destination for ASU fans to visit and stay," said Brad Bobo, Director of Corporate Sales. "Whether fans are looking for articles, features, schedules or embedded video, AStateRedWolves.com is the place to go for A-State information. From there, Red Wolves fans can link directly to other destinations such as the Red Wolf Club and the ASU Ticket Office. The new look and new features will not only be great for our fans, but will serve as a great recruiting tool for all of our athletic programs."
Fans visiting AStateRedWolves.com will also want to click on the Taco Bell A-State Football Fan Experience icon to register to win the ultimate Red Wolves fan experience package. The package includes two premium tickets to the Nov. 2 nationally televised football game against Middle Tennessee, priority parking, A-State apparel, a tour of the ASU athletic facilities, Taco Bell Bucks and the opportunity to be a judge in the chili cook-off that will be held on the ASU campus that day.
