A Message from A-State Director of Athletics Chris Pezman: Our Pack. Our Den. Our Pride.

Dear Red Wolves Family,

Thank you for your support throughout the 2025–26 academic year. Your enthusiasm energized our venues and inspired our student-athletes, helping make this one of the most successful seasons in Arkansas State history.

We celebrated numerous achievements across our programs. Football captured a bowl-game victory for a second consecutive year, winning the Xbox Bowl. Volleyball won the Sun Belt Conference and returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015. Men's basketball recorded its third straight 20-win season, while women's basketball matched a school record with 27 wins and advanced to the WNIT Fab Four.

Our success continued into the spring. Women's bowling reached the NCAA Final Four. Men's golf won the Sun Belt Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division I Championships for the first time in program history. Women's tennis claimed the NIT title in its first postseason appearance. Baseball earned four wins over Top-15 opponents and achieved its first Top-25 ranking since 1970.

These accomplishments led to a historic year for our department. Three teams qualified for NCAA Championships, and eight programs reached postseason play. We currently lead the Sun Belt Conference in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings (No. 87 nationally) and finished as runner-up in the Bubas Cup, averaging a league-best 8.3 points per sport.

Our student-athletes also excelled academically. The department achieved a record GPA in consecutive semesters, including a 3.25 in Spring 2026. A total of 68 student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA last semester, while at least 14 teams maintained GPAs above 3.0 throughout the year. More than 244 student-athletes were named to the Honor Roll each semester, and the department posted a record 87% Graduation Success Rate. Four programs achieved perfect APR scores.

Your support was reflected in record-setting attendance. Baseball led the way with a new home attendance record, and women's basketball recorded its highest attendance since 2006. Football posted its second-highest attendance in six years, highlighted by the largest crowd at War Memorial Stadium since 2014. Men's basketball ranked third in the conference in attendance, and volleyball saw its strongest turnout since 2015.

We are committed to building on this momentum. Construction is underway on a new 40,000-square-foot baseball Player Development Center, and our tennis facilities have been fully resurfaced and rebranded. Additional facility enhancements across several sports are planned.

As we look ahead, the continued strength of A-State Athletics is made possible by the generosity of our supporters. If you are interested in deepening your impact, we invite you to consider a gift to the Red Wolves Foundation, or even joining at the $9/month level – an easy way to support our student-athletes and be part of our continued growth.

The achievements of 2025–26 were made possible by your continued support. We look forward to welcoming you back for another outstanding year in 2026–27.

This is Our Pack. Our Den. Our Pride.
