JONESBORO, Ark. (9/8/11) - Arkansas
State held its 15th annual Order of the Pack pep rally Thursday
night at ASU Stadium to recognize its student-athletes for their commitment to
ASU and to induct a new class of students into the Red Wolves family.
Members of the Student
Activities Board and Student Government Association reflected on the history
and tradition surrounding Red Wolf athletics and student-athletes were recognized
for their commitment to ASU.
Interim Chancellor Dr. Dan
Howard, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Dr. Rick Stripling and Athletic
Director Dr. Dean Lee addressed the student body, thanking them for their
support of the Red Wolves and encouraging them to continue that support at
events and in the community.
Head football coach Hugh Freeze
addressed the crowd at the end of the pep rally and encouraged the student-body
to show their support on game days.
The Sound of the Natural State
marching band, A-Team and Red Wolves cheerleaders led the crowd in traditional
ASU cheers to get the students excited for the upcoming season.
Brad Bobo Director of Broadcast, Licensing and
New Media., introduced each of the athletic teams, and several student-athletes
and coaches made remarks on behalf of their teams.
