  • In the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, seventh-seeded Arkansas State is set to face sixth-seeded South Alabama at approximately 8:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday, March 10, at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas (or 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1). Action will be broadcast live on ESPN+, while the radio broadcast can be heard on the EAB Red Wolves Radio Network at 95.3 The Ticket, as well as 970 AM and now 96.9 FM.
  • Tuesday is the second meeting in three games between the Red Wolves and Jaguars, the third overall of the season. USA claimed the first meeting on February 20 in Mobile before the Red Wolves evened the season series with a 21-point second-half comeback victory on March 5 (86-80). The Red Wolves own a 39-13 lead in the overall series, including 4-2 in SBC Tournament action (3-1 in neutral sites), while claiming 12 of the last 14 meetings.
  • Jireh Washington, who earned Third Team All-SBC laurels Monday, leads A-State in scoring (13.1) and assists (110). She is 19 assists away from tying for 10th in single-season assists. The sophomore has also scored in double figures in 21 games this season, in addition to 12 games with five or more assists.
  • Morgan Wallace posted two straight double-doubles to end the regular season. She has hauled in 7+ rebounds in 17 games, including nine games with 10 or more. In A-State's 11 wins, Wallace nearly averages a double-double at 12.0 points per game and 9.9 rebounds. 
  • So far this season, Arkansas State has had three or more players record double-digit scoring in 19 of its 29 games. Since the 2012-13 season, Arkansas State is 94-47 (.667) when three or more players score in double figures.
  • In A-State's 11 wins, the Red Wolves have posted 177 assists to 273 made baskets for a 64.8% assist percentage. The Red Wolves have posted an assist percentage greater than 65 percent in seven games this season (70+ percent three times), the highest coming against Appalachian State (79.3 percent), which was the best since posting an 85-percent mark last season vs. ULM. That matches the total from 2013-14 when A-State posted a mark of 70 percent or better three times. 
  • Arkansas State has forced double-digit turnovers in all but two games this season, including at least 15 takeaways 19 times (nine games with 20 or more). The Red Wolves have turned the ball over 15 times or fewer in 15 games this year, including a season-low six on Feb. 22 at Troy and 10 times or less seven times. When A-State wins, it averages 13.5 turnovers allowed per game with a turnover margin of +4.8 while boasting an assist/turnover ratio of 1.2.
  • When A-State is victorious, three players average in double figures: Jireh Washington (14.1), Peyton Martin (13.3) and Morgan Wallace (12.0). Wallace also nearly averages a double-double at 9.9 rebounds per game in those 11 wins.
  • Arkansas State ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference in total steals (270), but leads the league in steals per game (9.31).  Morgan Wallace ranks fourth in the league in steals per game (1.94) and total steals (54). The Red Wolves have swiped 10 or more steals in 17 games. A-State has tallied 13 or more steals eight times this season.
  • This season, through 29 games, A-State has been among the nation's best at getting to the free-throw line, ranking fifth in the league (72nd nationally) with 567 free-throw attempts. According to HerHoopStats.com, the Red Wolves rank 34th nationally (out of 351 teams) in Free Throw Rate (% of two-point scoring attempts including all free throw trips that result in a free throw trip) with a 19.7 percent clip. Additionally, HerHoopStats.com ranks the Red Wolves 67th nationally in percentage of points from free throws (20.2%). Defensively, the Red Wolves hold opponents to a 14.9-percent clip in that area, which ranks 37th nationally. Jireh Washington ranks sixth in the league with 141 free throws attempted, while Peyton Martin is seventh with 135.
  • Jada Ford climbed into A-State's top 10 in three-point shooting this season. The senior from Muskogee, Oklahoma, is now fourth all-time in three-pointers made (186). This season, Ford has hit a three-pointer in 25 straight games and 27 of 29 games. 
  • Arkansas State is rewriting the record books in three-point shooting this season, having attempted a program-record 621 treys and making 179, which currently ranks seventh-most in program history.
