BOCA RATON, Fla. (2/9/21) – Closing out play in its first event of the spring season, the Arkansas State women's golf team finished tied for 10th among 13 teams at the FAU Paradise Invitational played at Boca Lago Country Club.
The Red Wolves turned in a final round total of 302 (+14) to finish at 913 (+49) for the tournament. A-State opened with a 12-over 300 and followed with a second round 311 (+23), but moved up one spot in the team standings with the final round total. Michigan State won the event with a team total of 6-under par 858, one stroke better than Maryland.
Olivia Schmidt carded a final round 76 (+4) and was the top individual of the event for the Red Wolves finishing tied for 40th. Elise Schultz had the low round of the day for A-State, carding a 2-over 74 to finish tied for 43rd with a total of 229 (+13). Kayla Burke also tied for 43rd after a final round 3-over 75 while Grayson Gladden (T46th) and Sydni Leung (T58th) rounded out the individual finishes for the Red Wolves.
