OPELIKA, Ala. (3/15/21) – Competing in a field with nine other top-50 ranked teams, the Arkansas State men's golf team is tied for 13th after two rounds of the Tiger Invitational hosted by Auburn at Grand National.
Ranked 23rd in the latest GolfStat rankings, A-State was forced to dig out of an early hole following a first round 295 (+7). The Red Wolves posted a second round 287 (-1) for a two-round total of 582 (+6) entering the third round. A-State is 14th among the 15 teams, six strokes from the top 10. Auburn leads the field at 20-under par 556 with Alabama second at 17-under par 559.
A second round 5-under par 67 by
Julien Sale highlighted the individual results for A-State. With the 5-under round, Sale is tied for 12th in the individual standings with a total of 140 (-4).
Zan Luka Stirn is tied for 44th at 2-over 146, shooting an even-par 72 in the second round.
Luka Naglic and
Adam Thorp are tied for 63rd at 5-over par 149 while
Jack Madden is tied for 77th at 7-over par 151.
