DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (4/19/21) – Playing in rain much of the round, the Arkansas State women's golf team shot a second-round 302 and is in sixth place among 11 teams at the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Concluding the second round with a 36-hole total of 599, A-State is one stroke behind fifth-place Troy (+22) and two strokes shy of fourth-place South Alabama (+21). Coastal Carolina moved to the lead with a second-round 278 (-10) for a two-round total of 562 (-14). Texas State is second at 570 (-6) and Georgia Southern is third at 589 (+13). The Red Wolves have a four-shot lead on seventh-place Little Rock (+27).

Elise Schultz had the low round on the day for the Red Wolves carding a 1-over par 73. She is tied for 14th individually with a total of 147 (+3), seven strokes behind individual leader Sophia Carlsen of Coastal Carolina.
Olivia Schmidt was 3-over on the round and is tied for 17th with a total of 149 while
Grayson Gladden is tied for 27th at 151.
Kayla Burke (T29th - 152) and
Sydni Leung (53rd - 164) round out the Red Wolves in the individual standings.

A-State will begin the final round between 7:00 a.m. and 7:36 a.m. on the first tee with Troy and South Alabama. The final round of the 54-hole championship will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and live scoring will be available on GolfStat.
