JONESBORO, Ark. (4/2/21) – Sun Belt Conference leadership has determined that a resumption of play for the Arkansas State women's tennis match against Louisiana will take place Wednesday, April 7, at 10:00 a.m. at the A-State Tennis Complex.
Â
After securing the doubles point and leading 2-1 back on March 27, play was suspended due to travel arrangements for the Ragin' Cajuns. The match began outdoors with A-State sweeping the doubles point and rain in the area forced the contest indoors to the Jonesboro Country Club.
Â
When play was halted, A-State led in three of the remaining four matches. On court two,
Hunter Roper and Clara Mantaux are in a decisive third set with Roper leading 1-6, 7-5, 3-2. Court four also sees a decisive third set with
Shelby King leading Christina Jordan 5-7, 6-2, 1-0.
Nejla Zukic won the first set over Isabell Kirekegaard 6-1 with the second set to be played on court five and
Yasmine Humbert faces a 6-1, 2-0 deficit on court six.
