NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (11/8/25) – The Arkansas State women's tennis team added five more victories Saturday at the CSUN Invite and improved to 6-0 in doubles for the weekend.
 
Facing Pacific in doubles matches, the Red Wolves were a perfect 3-0 against pairs from Pacific. Lilly Cvanciger and Carla Muro Castellvi downed Milena Maiorova and Cindy Ung 6-3 on court one. On court two, Hanmare McAslin and Anna Grigoreva outlasted Indiya McLeod and Rayna Sugai 7-6 (4). Sarah Millard and Meghna Arun Kumar completed the doubles sweep with a 6-0 defeat of Nahreen Cheam and Pauline Lerminiaux.
 
"We had a good day, especially ending the day on a high with three doubles wins," said McAslin. "I can clearly see that our doubles play has improved a lot from the start of this fall, which is a positive for us as a team after all the work we have put into doubles. I am excited to get back out there tomorrow to compete in our last matches for this fall, and to end this fall on a very positive note with my Red Wolves tennis family."
 
A-State matched up against BYU in four of six singles matches while facing the host CSUN in the other two contests. McAslin downed Bella Lewis of BYU 6-3, 6-4 and Millard picked up a 6-4, 6-4 win over Vitoria Solis Urdiales of CSUN for A-State's two singles wins. Cvanciger fell in straight sets to Sue Yan Tan (BYU) 6-4, 6-4, Muro Castellvi came up short 6-1, 6-1 to Sage Bergeson (BYU), Arun Kumar dropped a 6-0, 6-0 decision to Karina Mohamed (BYU) and Grigoreva fell in a third-set tiebreak to Emma Mortalla Sanz (CSU) 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (10).
 
The Red Wolves close out the event and the fall slate Sunday with doubles matches against New Mexico and singles matches against Long Beach State.
