In addition to her time with the A-State volleyball team, Betts served time on the Dean's Advisory Council in spring 2020, while also being an intern with A-State Athletic Performance in the 2020-21 academic year. She was also a member of the Team United Leadership Committee. Betts was also named to the Sun Belt Commissioner's List, the A-State Chancellor's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll every year of her tenure.
The scholarships go to selected student-athletes with stated intentions to pursue a graduate degree following completion of their undergraduate requirements and are sent directly to the graduate school of each recipient's choice. The honorees are selected by the Sun Belt Postgraduate Scholarship Committee, which is comprised of Faculty Athletic Representatives from around the league.
