JONESBORO, Ark. (10/17/24) – Arkansas State cross country faces its final pre-conference competition on Friday, competing in the Arturo Barrios Invitational in College Station, Texas.
The Red Wolves begin action at the Watts Cross Country Course at 8:30 a.m. in the men's 8K, followed by the women's 6K at 9:15 a.m.

THREE THINGS TO NOTE:
1. REGIONAL PREVIEW: Saturday somewhat serves as a preview of the NCAA South Central Regional Championships, as 24 total teams in the South Central Region are set to compete. The region encompasses Arkansas, Louisiana, and all Texas programs except for Texas Tech.
2. LAST TIME OUT: Arkansas State competed in the Live in Lou Classic on Oct. 5, with the men's squad placing 10th behind a runner-up finish from Jacob Pyeatt. A-State's women placed 11th as a team, led by Maja Dzialoszewska's 25th-place finish and seven personal-best marks.
3. ONE FINAL TUNE-UP: The Red Wolves' competition has increased from meet-to-meet by design, with the Sun Belt Conference Championships just two weeks away on Nov. 1 in Foley, Ala.
