JONESBORO, Ark. (10/23/24) – For the second time this season, Arkansas State cross country runner Jacob Pyeatt has received weekly honors from the Sun Belt Conference, being named SBC Men's Runner of the Week Wednesday.
The Mountain Home native recorded his second consecutive top-10 finish this past Friday, placing ninth in the men's 8K at the Arturo Barrios Invitational. He ran a career-best time of 22:46.2, shaving nearly 50 seconds off his previous best set two weeks prior at the Live in Lou Classic.
Paced by Pyeatt, A-State's men's team earned a ninth-place finish among 38 squads. Wednesday's honor also marks Pyeatt's third career cross country weekly award.
