PITTSBURG, Kan. (12/6/24) – Miranda Burgett finished second in the pentathlon on Friday at the Boo Rogers Combined Events, opening the indoor season for Arkansas State track and field.
Burgett totaled 3,672 points to move to seventh in school history in the event, recording personal bests in both the 60-meter hurdles and shot put portions.
In the heptathlon, Colby Eddowes ended the first day in first place after four events with 3,281 points, posting a career-best mark in the 60 meters (6.95). Alden Wetzel enters day two in ninth with 2,687 points.
A-State continues its first weekend of competition Saturday with the conclusion of the heptathlon, as well as the Crimson and Gold Invitational at Pitt State. A host of distance runners are also competing Saturday at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
