MONROE, La. (10/10/25) – Arkansas State volleyball (10-6, 3-2 SBC) opened the match against ULM (9-10, 0-4 SBC) with an offensive surge and never looked back in a 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-18) victory on Friday night inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
Haley Glunz led the Red Wolves with a season-high 10 kills on a .562 hitting percentage while
Daedrianna Cail posted nine kills alongside a team-leading eight blocks. As a team, the Red Wolves tallied 38 kills on a .216 hitting percentage plus 37 assists.
Defensively, A-State recorded 10 blocks and 32 digs while limiting the Warhawks to a -.009 hitting percentage.
Addison Collum recorded the first kill of the match, sparking a 14-2 run highlighted by nine kills from the team alongside two service aces from
Mia Maloney. The Red Wolves held a 24-12 advantage before surrendering a 4-0 run, but
Haley Glunz ended the rally attempt with a kill.
The Warhawks were limited to seven kills on a -.026 hitting percentage in the opening set.
Both sides evenly split the first eight rallies of the second set, but a kill from Cail sparked a 5-0 run to create separation. Eight of the next 12 rallies were claimed by the Scarlet and Black and created a nine-point lead, but the Warhawks responded with a 5-1 scoring run to make the score 18-13.
Cail landed a kill and a service ace to thwart the effort, as a 25-15 decision moved the contest into the third set.
The Red Wolves trailed for the first time early in the set, but used an 8-0 scoring run to overcome a 5-2 deficit. The Warhawks won the next three rallies before A-State claimed seven of the next nine and opened a 17-10 lead.
The Red Wolves faced another comeback attempt from the opposition, responding to a 4-0 run with one of their own to put the contest out of reach. The set concluded on an attack error from ULM, resulting in a 25-18 decision that ended the match.
