JONESBORO, Ark. (2/13/25) – The Arkansas State bowling team hosts the annual Mid-Winter Invitational presented by Kalmar Solutions this weekend at Hijinx Family Entertainment Center in Jonesboro.

A-State (56-22) will bowl 13 matches over the three-day tournament, which will go from Friday through Sunday at Hijinx. All 13 of the Red Wolves matches will be streamed live on the A-State bowling YouTube page. Admission to Hijinx is free.

The Mid-Winter Invitational presented by Kalmer Solutions follows a standard three-day, 13-match format. The 16 teams will compete in five Baker matches starting at 10:00 a.m. Friday, and then on Saturday, there will be five traditional matches starting at 9:25 a.m. Teams will then be seeded based on total pinfall from the first two days for three best-of-seven Baker matches on Sunday to determine a champion. Following a senior day presentation at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, the first match of bracket play is scheduled for 8:10 a.m.

The 16-team field features nine of the top ten teams and 13 of the top 17 teams in the latest NTCA Poll. The full field includes: No. 4 Arkansas State,  No. 1 Nebraska, No.2 Vanderbilt, No. 3 Jacksonville State, No. 5 Youngstown State, No. 7 Wichita State, No. 8 Sam Houston, No. 9 Stephen F. Austin, No. 10 Maryville. No. 11 Louisiana Tech, No. 13 McKendree, No. 14 Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 17 UAB, Alabama State and Jackson State.

Coming off an eighth-place finish at the Prairie View Invitational, A-State opens play Friday against No. 9 Stephen F. Austin. The Red Wolves also face No. 14 Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 4 Youngstown State, No. 3Jacksonville State, and No. 4 Wichita State to close out the first day of competition. On Saturday, A-State will start off the day facing Alabama State, a bye, No. 10 Maryville, Jackson State, and No. 17 UAB.
