A-State Fourth Entering Final Round at Reflection Bay

HENDERSON, Nev. (2/25/25) – For the second consecutive day, four Arkansas State men's golfers were par or better and the team recorded a second-straight 2-under par as the Red Wolves stand fourth among 15 teams at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational.

With back-to-back 2-under par 286 scores as a team, the Red Wolves have totaled 10 par or better rounded in 14 rounds played this year. A-State is fourth on the leaderboard at 4-under par 572, three strokes back of Stetson (-7) for third. Long Beach State leads the field at 25-under par 551 while Northern Illinois is second at 12-under par 564. The scoring average dropped from 74.83 on Monday to 72.64 on Tuesday.

Jake Wallis turned in the low round of the day for A-State at 3-under par 69 and he has totaled 5-under par 139 to rank fourth individually. Playing as an individual, Jake Lile followed a 4-under 68 in the second round with an even-par 72 to stand eighth individually. Thomas Schmidt bounced back from a 3-over par 75 in the first round with a 2-under par 70 to stand 30th at 1-over par for the tournament. Milan Reed (71-75), Chris Somerfield (71-75) and Jack Maxey (74-72) are among 15 players tied for 34th at 2-over par 146. Pierce Johnson (74-73) is tied for 49th and Cole Kirby (78-78) is tied for 82nd to round out the eight players on the course for A-State.
