MEMPHIS, Tenn. (10/16/26) – Across multiple draws Friday, the Arkansas State women's tennis team went unbeaten with five doubles victories and six singles wins in the ITA Central Region Championships at the Leftwich Tennis Center.

Three A-State singles' players were in the main draw for the first time in program history, and history continues as all three won their round of 64 matches Friday. Sara Kastakova defeated Daria Budko of Missouri 7-5, 6-4 and will face Marta Leon Jaume of Kansas State. Lilly Cvanciger downed Prisca Abbas of Tulsa 6-4, 7-5 and will meet Conley Raidt of Nebraska. Anna Grigoreva topped Ksenia Hanke of Minnesota 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 to advance against Alyssa Novoa of Tulsa. All three round of 32 matches begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

The doubles pair of Cvanciger and Kastakova improved to a perfect 8-0 on the season and advanced to the quarterfinals. In the round of 32, Cvanciger and Kastakova topped Alicia Mall and Clemence Thouard of Memphis 8-4. With a trip to the quarterfinals on the line, the pair topped Brooke Schafer and Anastasija Adeikyte of Arkansas 8-7 (3). The Red Wolves pair meets top-seeded Sara Shumate and Gloriana Nahum of Oklahoma Saturday at 9:00 a.m.

In consolation matches, Helena Bueno earned a 7-6 (4), 6-1 win over Anali Kocevar of Minnesota. Hanmare McAslin rallied past Shuqian Xu of Iowa 4-6, 6-1, 10-7 and Lara Margocova topped Rojas Hernandez of Missouri State 6-1, 7-6 (6). Three doubles wins were added in consolation matches with McAslin and Bueno downing a pair from Iowa State 8-6, Margocova and Carla Muro Castellvi defeating a pair from Kansas State 8-1 and Grigoreva and Meghna Arun Kumar defeating a pair from Kansas City 8-6.
