The facility will provide student-athletes with consistent access to high-quality training regardless of weather conditions or course availability while serving as a valuable recruiting tool for both programs.
"We are proud of our relationship with the Red Wolves Foundation and excited to provide a resource that will benefit both the men's and women's golf programs at Arkansas State, as well as our RidgePointe members," said Brett Walster, Manager and Head Golf Pro at RidgePointe Country Club. "This is an investment in the future of A-State golf and RidgePointe, and we're excited to see the impact it will have for years to come."
The facility will include a 2,200-square foot space dedicated to putting, chipping and bunker practice areas. It will also house three indoor driving bays and a team room.
"We are incredibly grateful to the Red Wolves Foundation for taking on this project and constructing a state-of-the-art indoor golf facility at RidgePointe Country Club," said A-State men's golf head coach Mike Hagen. "This facility is absolutely vital because it ensures our teams have year-round, weather-proof access to elite training resources."
"This is a dream come true," said A-State women's golf head coach MJ Desbiens Shaw. "This project is about creating opportunities for our student-athletes here at Arkansas State. We're excited to provide them with a facility that supports their development, enhances their experience, and gives them another resource to reach their potential. We are grateful to everyone who has helped make it possible. We can't wait to see the impact it will have for years to come."
