SAN ANTONIO, Texas (11/8/26) – The fourth-ranked Arkansas State women's bowling team finished third at the Bulldog Classic hosted by Louisiana Tech.

A-State (25-13) opened the day with a 4-1 victory in a Baker best-of-seven match against No. 5 Nebraska. The Red Wolves took the opening game 164-158 and gained a 2-0 advantage with a 222-166 margin in game two. Nebraska made it 2-1 with a 211-169 tally in game three but A-State clinched the match taking games four (203-177) and five (192-190).

No. 3 Wichita State dealt A-State a 4-1 setback in the semifinal. The Shockers took game one, 184-152, before A-State evened the match with a 212-192 total in game two. Wichita State closed out the match taking game three by three pins, 183-180, game four, 189-177, and game five 215-205.

Facing Nebraska once again in the third-place match, the Red Wolves battled to a 4-3 victory. Nebraska took the opening game 247-227 but A-State answered with a one-pin victory in game two, 188-187. The Red Wolves made it 2-1 with a 245-191 margin in game three but the match was tied following Nebraska's 203-185 decision in game four. A-State took game five 227-195 but the Huskers forced game seven with a 215-167 advantage in game six. The Red Wolves rolled their best game of the day in the last with a 268-211 total to clinch the match.

A-State closes out their fall slate Nov. 20-22 at the Jersey Jamboree in Hackensack, N.J., hosted by Fairleigh Dickinson University.
