Anthony Livingston Named to All-SBC Team

NEW ORLEANS, La. (3/10/15) – Arkansas State University’s Anthony Livingston has been named to the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) Men’s Basketball All-Conference Team for the 2014-15 season as voted on by the league coaches and media, the league office announced Tuesday.

Livingston collected second-team All-SBC honors after averaging a double-double of 15.9 points and 10.0 rebounds this season. Livingston is one of 18 players at the NCAA Division I level to average a double-double.

The Washington, D.C. native posted 15 double-doubles in his first season on the A-State campus, most since Dan Henderson had 15 in the 1975-76 campaign. The 6-foot-8 sophomore posted 20 or more points in 10 games and had 15 or more rebounds in five games and finished with double-figure scoring in 26 of 29 games.

Livingston finished the season leading the Red Wolves in scoring (15.9), rebounding (10.0), field goal percentage (.464), blocks (29), minutes played (1039) and minutes per game (35.8).

Among Sun Belt Conference athletes, Livingston ranks top-10 in scoring, rebounding, blocks and minutes per game. Nationally, Livingston ranks seventh in defensive rebounds per game (7.34), 15th in double-doubles (15), 18th in rebounds per game (10.0), 21st in total rebounds (291) and 50th in minutes per game (35.8).

Livingston is the first underclassman, sophomore or freshman, to earn All-SBC honors for A-State since Brandon Reed was a second-team selection in the 2009-10 campaign as a freshman.
