High School: Earned Western Sun Conference MVP honors as a senior at Geneva (Ill.) High School...struck out 115 batters against just 20 walks and 54 hits in 78 innings of work, compiling an ERA of 1.80...

Personal: Pitched for the Madison Mallards in the Northwoods League over the summer of 2009...son of Brian and Kelly Allen...majoring in Business.
