Susie Jangada was named assistant coach at Arkansas State in February 2013 and coaches the middle blockers. In 2013, she was part of a staff that helped the Red Wolves to a 15-20 record and the Sun Belt Conference Tournament semifinals. Her middle blockers were responsible for 218 total blocks on the year, including 31 block solos, and were efficient at limiting block errors with only 15 on the season.
Jangada was at Jacksonville University in 2012. She went to Jacksonville following a two-year coaching stint at Bluffton-Harrison High School in Indiana.
Prior to Bluffton, she coached at Houston Baptist University and helped it to a 26-3 record during the 2007-08 year. The Huskies ended the season winning 18 of their final 19 matches.
Jangada began her collegiate coaching career at Centenary College of Louisiana during the 2006-2007 campaign. She has also spent time serving as a volleyball camp instructor at University of Florida, Florida Southern College, the University of Tampa, and Ball State.
At the club level, Jangada has coached Decatur Force Volleyball Club (2010-2012) during her time at Bluffton. She coached in France for the Stade Francais Club (2004-2005) in Paris and Istres Sport Volleyball Club (2003-04). She also coached the 11-12 year olds and beginners at the Munciana Volleyball Club in 2000.
After playing a season at Indiana State, Jangada transferred to Ball State was a key member of the two Cardinal runs to the NCAA Tournament. She earned Mid-American all-conference and all-tournament accolades during the 1999 and 2000 seasons. Jangada is ranked third all-time in hitting percentage with a .358 average.
Following her Cardinals career, she was an expansion pick in 2003 for the United States Professional Volleyball team. She later played in Holland in 2003. She also played in Istres, France in 2003-2004 and in Paris from 2004-2005.
Jangada graduated from Ball State in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science and wellness. Susie and her husband, Wenderson; have a daughter, Liriana; and a son, Ferguson. Wenderson is a native of Brazil, a former professional boxer, and served in the 82nd Airborne in the Army.
