Amy Foster was named the Red Wolves' Chief Financial Officer in February of 2022.
Foster brings with her to A-State over 20 years of combined experience working in administration at both the intercollegiate and university levels, most recently spending the last 11 years as the Deputy Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) at Seattle Pacific University.
"Since I arrived at Arkansas State and we began examining the best path and practices to continue growing and enhancing our entire Athletics Department, it became clear that creating a CFO position needed to be a priority in order to meet the high expectations and demands of our business operations," said Bowen. "Amy Foster's diverse background, knowledge, education and experience as a senior-level administrator make her a perfect fit to oversee, advise and bring new ideas to this key position on our leadership team. We are very excited to welcome her to Arkansas State."
Foster earned her undergraduate degree in physical education and special education from SPU, then in 2018 completed her Master of Business Administration degree from SPU as well. She began her career in intercollegiate athletics at her alma mater working on the event management team from 1995-2000 before spending five years as SPU's Assistant Director for Conference Services.
Foster was involved in virtually every aspect of the department's operations during her most recent stint with the Falcons as their Deputy Athletics Director and SWA, including sport supervision, finances, sports event scheduling, scholarships and facility management.
Additionally, Foster has served on numerous committees at both the conference and NCAA levels. She was chair of Great Northwest Athletic Conference's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee the past three years. She has also served on the NCAA Division II Management Council, working on multiple committees in the role.
"I am thrilled to be joining the outstanding staff at Arkansas State," said Foster. "It's truly an honor to be part of a program with success, both academically and athletically. I want to thank Athletics Director
Tom Bowen and Deputy Athletics Director
Thomas Boeh, along with the entire staff, who have shown myself and my family the true spirit of what it means to be part of the Red Wolves family. My family and I are excited to be joining the Red Wolves community and making Jonesboro our home."
