A-State Announces Date Change to Men?s and Women?s Basketball Schedules

JONESBORO, Ark. (12/8/16) – The Arkansas State Department of Athletics has announced that its Feb. 18 men's and women's basketball doubleheader against Little Rock has been rescheduled for Feb. 17 to accommodate changes in the Convocation Center's event calendar.

The back-to-back doubleheader will start with the women's contest at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.  The games will be held as part of a Convocation Center 30th-year Anniversary weekend, which also now includes a Luke Bryan appearance as part of his “Kill the Lights Tour” the next day.

“Because of this unique opportunity to secure a high-profile act such as Luke Bryan and increase exposure for the Jonesboro community, we chose to move our basketball games against Little Rock to Feb. 17,” said A-State Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir. “We believe this will be a great event for Northeast Arkansas and the region. What an exciting way to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the Convo—by kicking off a weekend of entertainment with the Red Wolves, and then taking in a concert by a country music Entertainer of the Year Award winner.”

The A-State women's team is set to return to action with its final non-conference home game of the year when it welcomes No. 22-ranked South Florida to the Convocation Center on Sunday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m.  The Red Wolves' men's basketball team's next game is set for Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 7:00 p.m. at UT Martin.
