BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (1/26/20) – UAB toppled the Arkansas State women's tennis team 4-0 Sunday afternoon in Birmingham.

The Blazers took the doubles point with wins on court one and three. Shelby King and Berta Masedevall-Masip were defeated 6-0 on court one while Pornpawee Pramethong and Eliza Babos lost 6-2 on court three.

In singles action, Pramethong took a second set (6-4) against Jana Hecking after dropping the opening set 6-2, but the match was unfinished. King was defeated 6-1, 6-2 against Adela Wasserbauerova and Amelia Guevremont fell to Megan Bertrands 6-1, 6-1 on court five. Masdevall-Masip led 2-1 in the second set of her unfinished match after dropping the first set 6-4. Jill Morse faced a 3-2 deficit in the second set of an unfinished match after falling 6-1 in the first set.

A-State returns to action February 8 against Central Arkansas in Jonesboro.
