Jonesboro, Ark. (2/8/20) – The Arkansas State women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 setback to Central Arkansas Saturday at RidgePointe Country Club.

Central Arkansas won the doubles points with wins over Berta Masdevall-Masip and Pornpawee Pramethong (6-4) and Amelia Guevremont and Eliza Babos (6-3). Shelby King and Jill Morse defeated Maja Gledic and Yada Vasupongchai 6-3.

In singles action, A-State was able to win two sets. Pramethong, King, Msedevall-Masip and Babos lost in straight sets. Morse dropped the first set against Mei Ishimura, but took the second set 6-1 before falling in the tiebreak 10-7. Guevremont lost her first set in a tiebreaker, but won the second set 6-4 to force a third set tiebreak before falling 10-7.

A-State returns to action at Louisiana Tech on February 22.
