NOTABLES
  • Arkansas State returns home for the first time in nearly a month, hosting 13th-ranked Texas State in the final regular-season series of the season.
  • Arkansas State is even at 10-10 all-time versus Texas State, owning a 6-2 record in Jonesboro. Last season, A-State took a five-set victory over the Bobcats.
  • The Red Wolves lead the nation in total blocks (as of 11/1) with 151.0. With that mark, A-State has already surpassed last season's total in Sun Belt play.
  • A-State ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference in opponent hitting percentage (.143) and is first in blocks per set (3.08). Its blocks per set mark is currently on pace to be the best in program history in the current rally-scoring era.
  • Arkansas State has held its opponents to a hitting percentage of .200 or less in nine matches, including three sub-.100 marks. Dating back to last season, A-State has held its foes to under .200 in 12 of the last 17 matches.
  • A-State is 43-1 since the 2017 season when taking the first two sets - 4-0 in 2020.
  • Madison Brown was named this week's Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row on Nov. 3 after registering 37 total kills at Little Rock over the weekend, including 20 in Sunday's sweep, giving her three 20-kill matches on the year.
  • Tatum Ticknor was named the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week after notching 43 digs against the Trojans - her first weekly honor since Aug. 27, 2018. Tuesday was also the first time since that date in which A-State had earned two conference weekly awards in the same week. Ticknor ranks seventh among all active Division I players in total digs (1,371) and third in digs per set (4.62) entering this week.
  • This season through 13 matches, A-State leads the nation in total blocks (151) and ranks third in blocks per set (3.08), which leads the conference. The Red Wolves have recorded 10.0 blocks in 12 of its 13 matches, including a season-high 15.0 on 10/16 at UT Arlington. In 2019, A-State reached 10 or more blocks eight times in 29 matches.
  • Lauren Musante owns nine of A-State's 14 double-doubles.
  • A win over Texas State this weekend would mark the program's first-ever victory against a ranked opponent.
