BOCA RATON, Fla. (2/10/20) – Shooting a combined 594 (+18) over the first two rounds, the Arkansas State women's golf team stands second among 14 teams at the FAU Winter Warm-Up at Osprey Point Golf Club.
A-State shot a combined 295 (+7) in the first round and followed it up with a 299 (+11) in the second round to rank 10 strokes behind Seton Hall (+8) after two rounds. Xavier is in third (+24) while Dartmouth is fourth (+26) and Quinnipiac is fifth (+28).
Freshman Elise Schultz and senior Grayson Gladden are tied for sixth to lead the Red Wolves individually. Schultz tied for the individual low first round shooting a season-best 71 (-1) and followed with a second round 76 (+4) for a two-round total of 147 (+3), also a season-best two-round total. Gladden opened with a 74 (+2) before finishing up with a second round 73 (+1) to also total 147 (+3).
Sophomore Olivia Schmidt and junior Maria Jose Atristain Vega are tied for 15th with a two-round total of 150 (+6). Freshman Sydni Leung rounds out the Red Wolves in the field in 55th after a two-round total of 158 (+14).
The third and final round of the tournament is scheduled for Tuesday. Â
