LEADING OFF

• The Red Wolves concluded the 2019 campaign 26-29 overall and 11-19 in the Sun Belt Conference. Arkansas State started the season with a 19-9 record, which was the best start to a Arkansas State season since the 2012 campaign.
• The 2019 season was highlighted by two wins over nationally ranked opponents #10 Coastal Carolina (3-2), March 29-30 and #15 Ole Miss, May 14.
• The Red Wolves will being the 2020 without two-year letter winner Kyle MacDonlad (1B), who graduated in the spring and was drafted by the New York Yankees with the 825th pick in the 27th round. MacDonald was named the Sun Belt Conference Preseason Player of the year in 2018 and earned ABCA All-Region Accolades in 2017. 
• Notable returners on the pitching staff for the Red Wolves is LHP Chandler Coates, RHP Carter Holt, RHP Zach Jackson, RHP Zech Jackson, RHP Jack Jumper and RHP Kollin Stone.
• Notable returners for the Arkansas State hitters is OF Sky-Lar Culver, OF Tyler Duncan, INF Karsen Ried, INF Jacob Jablonski, OF Eli Davis and OF Jaylon Deshazier.
• Senior, Sky-Lar Culver lead the squad with a .316 batting average, 66 hits, 45 RBIs and 103 total baseball. Culver has registered a .493 slugging percentage to go along with a .398 on base percentage as he walked 24 times.
• Senior Jack Jumper posted a team-low 1.87 ERA while only allowing opposing batters to hit a .163. Zach Jackson pitched a 4.46 ERA while he allowed opposing batters to hit a .289.
• Head coach Tommy Raffo added Drew LaBounty to the Arkansas State Baseball as a Volunteer Assistant Aug. 2.

 THE SANDLOT

• The Red Wolves lead the all-time series 3-1 against the LumberJacks.
• Last season Arkansas State dropped Friday night's contest (4-2) before taking two-straight games over Stephen F. Austin Saturday (11-2) and Sunday (7-6).
• Before last year's three-game series, the last time that the squads met was in the 1983 season. 
• The Red Wolves took the meeting in '83 by a score of 16-13 at the Palm Valley Tournament in Edinburgh, Texas.
• Last season, Friday night's matchup (4-2, L) RHP Zach Jackson recorded 10 strikeouts over 5.2 IP.
• The squads were scheduled to compete at the Lamar Invitational in the 2012 season, but the game was rained out.
