OPELIKA, Ala. (3/9/20) – The Arkansas State men's golf team completed the second round of play Monday at the Tiger Invitational in 13th place among 20 teams after carding a second round 303 (+15) at Grand National Lake Course.
A-State's two-round total of 594 (+18) is three strokes behind 12th place James Madison, four strokes behind 11th place FAU and five strokes more of both Louisiana Tech and Charlotte for ninth. ULM maintains the lead after a second round 294 (+6) to stand at 574 (-2) for the tournament.
Sophomore Jack Madden, who currently sits tied for 47th among 102 players, led A-State by carding a second-round 74 (+2) to total 150 (+6). Senior Julien Sale is tied for 22nd at 146 (+2) while junior Michael Weppernig is tied for 35th at 148 (+4). Senior Zan Luka Stirn joins Madden in a tie for 47th at 150 (+6) and freshman Adam Thorp has a two-round total of 154 (+10) to tie for 73rd.
The final round tees off Tuesday morning.
