SPARTANBURG, S.C. (10/31/21) – Finishing out the fall slate, Sofia Vdovychenko and Yasmine Humbert won their doubles bracket final highlighting five wins for the Arkansas State women's tennis team Sunday at the Wofford Fall Invite.
 
Vdovychenko and Humbert took the Gray draw final with a 6-3 win over a pair from Emory University. Thea Rice and Nejla Zukic took the third-place match in the Gold draw with a 7-6 (5) victory over a duo from Wofford. Emily Surcey and Hunter Roper came up short in the third-place match with a 6-4 loss to a pair from Presbyterian College.
 
In singles play, Rice, Vdovychenko and Humbert picked up wins Sunday. Rice took fifth in the Terrier draw by way of a 7-6 (1), 6-4 victory over Jess Leeman of Presbyterian College. Vdovychenko also took fifth as she defeated Courtney Fyvie of Gardner-Webb in the Prevail draw. Humbert finished third in the Wofford draw by outlasting Camryn McClure of Radford 6-4, 6-7 (4), 10-8.
