CONWAY, Ark. (10/4/21) – Sofia Vdovychenko and Rebecca Brody each won their singles match Monday as three Arkansas State women's tennis players closed play at the UCA 2nd Fall Invitational.
 
A day after Vdovychenko, Brody and Yasmine Humbert each claimed a victory in singles play, Vdovychenko and Brody added wins Monday to give the limited A-State contingent six for the event.
 
Playing in flight four, Vdovychenko went 2-1 by adding a commanding 6-1, 6-0 over Lara Unkovich of Louisiana Tech. Brody defeated Kate Miley of Missouri State 7-5, 7-6 (2) while Humbert dropped her match 6-2, 5-7, 8-10 to Manuela Barriga (Southeast Missouri). Vdovychenko and Humbert fell to 1-1 in double at the event with a 4-6 loss to a pair from host Central Arkansas.
 
ITA Regionals beginning Oct. 21 in Iowa City, Iowa, are next on the schedule for the Red Wolves.
