BOCA RATON, Fla. (2/9/21) – Opening the spring portion of the season, the Arkansas State women's golf team shot a combined 611 to tie for 11th after the first day of the FAU Paradise Invitational at Boca Lago Country Club.
A-State posted a first round 300 (+12) and followed with a second round 311 (+23) to rank tied for 11th among the 13 teams. South Florida leads the field at 10-under 566 with Vanderbilt second at 9-under 567.
Grayson Gladden leads the Red Wolves in the individual standings after a first-round total of 152 (+8). Gladden opened with a 1-over 73 and closed the day with an 8-over 79 to tie for 38th heading into the final round. Olivia Schmidt is tied for 42nd at 9-over 153 while Kayla Burke is tied for 46th at 10-over 154. Elise Schultz is tied for 48th at 11-over 155 and Sydni Leung is tied for 52nd at 13-over 157.
