  • The Red Wolves are entering the weekend series after sweeping Missouri State in a midweek series, winning 10-2 on Tuesday before taking a 7-3 victory Wednesday.
  • A-State trails the all-time series with Oklahoma 7-1 all-time, but taking the most recent meeting in 1999 in Arlington, Texas. All but one game in the eight-game series has occurred at a neutral venue.
  • The Red Wolves enter the weekend series ranked first in the Sun Belt Conference (30th nationally) in doubles per game (2.22) as of 3/12.
  • Sky-Lar Culver led the team offensively in the midweek sweep over Missouri State, going 4-9 at the plate (.444) with one homer and 4 RBIs. Will Gilmer shined in relief on Wednesday, with 4.1 shutout innings.
"DOUBLE VISION"
  • Arkansas State ranks among the nation's best in doubles per game, averaging 2.22 entering this weekend, which ranks 30th nationally and leads the Sun Belt Conference.

"OKLAHOMA!"

  • Two players on Arkansas State's roster hail from the place where the wind goes sweeping down the plains, as referenced in Rodgers and Hammerstein's popular musical.
  • Catcher Parker Rowland (Owasso) and infielder Ben Klutts (Poteau) are the two Red Wolves who come from the Sooner State.

"WALK THE LINE"

  • Johnny Cash's hit song has played often after Drew Tipton approaches the plate this season. The senior has drawn 11 walks so far this season, 1.22 per game, both of which lead the Sun Belt Conference and rank inside the top 35 nationally.
  • The Bryant, Arkansas, native enters the weekend tied for ninth in program history in career bases on balls (88).
