Pascoe Readies For NCAA Cross Country Championships

JONESBORO, Ark. (3/14/21) – When the starting gun goes off and Bennett Pascoe runs onto the Oklahoma State Cross Country Course on Monday, he will make history as the first Arkansas State men's athlete to compete at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.

Pascoe is set to toe the line at approximately 12:40 p.m. CT in Stillwater, Oklahoma, for the men's 10K championship race. The broadcast of the entire event will be shown live on ESPNU, with coverage starting before the women's championship 6K run at 11:30 a.m. Live results will be available with splits after every 1000 meters.

Qualifying automatically as the Sun Belt Conference individual champion, Pascoe is no stranger to accomplishing program-firsts. The Conway, Arkansas, native became the school's first individual men's cross country conference champion in October. He is one of just 38 individual qualifiers on the men's side and the only men's athlete representing the Sun Belt Conference.

Pascoe claimed the Sun Belt Conference men's cross country individual championship in October, posting a personal-best 8K time of 24:45.8. In the 10K distance, he owns a career-best time of 30:56.8, achieved last season at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships, where he earned All-Region honors after a 21st-place finish.
