JONESBORO, Ark. (11/4/25) – Arkansas State cross country runner Carlo Martinez-Jaramillo has been named Sun Belt Conference Men's Runner of the Year and five Red Wolves received all-conference recognition, the league announced Tuesday.

Martinez-Jaramillo received the honor alongside a First Team All-Sun Belt selection after becoming the 10th individual cross country champion in program history. His first-place finish in the men's 8K at the Sun Belt Cross Country Championships secured his first cross country all-conference selection since his freshman campaign at ULM in 2023.

Freshmen Noah Herrera (13th) and Joe Edwards (14th) made their conference championship debut in the 8K, crossing the finish line just over three seconds apart to claim Second Team All-Sun Belt honors. Erika Kreuger led the A-State women with a ninth-place finish in the women's 5K and secured her first career all-conference honor via a Second Team All-Sun Belt distinction.

Mary Beth Bailey rounded out the all-conference selections, earning Third Team All-Sun Belt honors in the 5K at the cross country championships for the second time in her career. For more information on the Red Wolves at the Sun Belt Cross Country Championships, click here.
