JONESBORO, Ark. (3/25/21) – A tie for third place among some of the top ranked individuals in collegiate golf helped
Julien Sale of the Arkansas State men's golf team to Sun Belt Conference Golfer of the Week honors, the league office announced Thursday.

Finishing tied for third at the Tiger Invitational hosted by Auburn last week, Sale was among 23 top-100 ranked players in the field. He was second among those ranked players and saw his GolfStat individual ranking climb from No. 18 to No. 7 based off the result. The third place finished helped Sale improve to 22-2 against top-100 ranked players this season.

Playing at Grand National, Sale turned in a total of 207 in the 54-hole tournament. Following a first round 1-over par 73, Sale posted back-to-back rounds of 5-under 67 to climb the leaderboard. He posted an eagle and 12 birdies against four bogeys on his final 36 holes.
