JONESBORO, Ark. (5/4/21) – Arkansas State freshman
Brooklyn Boudreau was named to the inaugural National Ten Pin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Freshman Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
Â
The honor squad for first-year bowlers includes the top 20 freshmen in the Player Composite Performance Index (PCPI), a set of 16 major statistical categories that are weighted and factored in an attempt to identify the top producing NCAA bowlers. In order to qualify for the team, freshmen must have competed in a minimum of 50 percent of their team's frames during the season.
Â
Boudreau, a third team All-Southland pick, rolled an average of 200.70 with a high game of 253. She posted a first ball average of 8.99 and a fill percentage of 83.2 percent. Boudreau is competing this week in Grand Rapids, Mich., in the Intercollegiate Singles Championship.
Â
Boudreau helped A-State advance to the national championship match for the second time in program history and a No. 2 ranking in the final NTCA poll. During the regular season, the Red Wolves won three of five events, finishing runner-up in the other two events.
