Entering the final round tied for 23rd, Schmidt was among five players to go below par Tuesday. With the 1-under par 71, Schmidt moved up 13 spots to a tie for 10th with a total of 223 (+7) for her 13th career top-10 finish and second in as many tournaments this season. Casey Sommer gained 12 spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for 35th at 15-over par 235 following a final round 1-over par 73. Elise Schultz (T44 | 237), Kiley Rodrigues (T46 | 238) and Kayla Burke (48 | 239) rounded out the team scorers for A-State. Maria Jose Atristain Vega competed as an individual and tied for 55th totaling 247 (+31).
A-State turned in a final round total of 310 (+22) and totaled 921 (+57) for the eighth-place finish among 10 squads. Nebraska (B) topped the team standings at 21-over par 885 with Sam Houston (891) and host Kansas State (898) rounding out the top three.
